safety in heels

standing in front of my home made fume hood while wearing my respirator to dye some fabric. yeah, i wear heels while dyeing fabric.....who doesn't? also wearing my see through silk night cap dress under my dirty work t-shirt. a warning to all who work with fabric: dyeing causes people to die! use all precautions especially if you do it a lot, you need more than rubber gloves and a great pair of shoes.

wireless

just received my wireless headphones in the mail. i love them! they are a bit ridiculously huge and paired with my safety glasses that i wear as protection when working on the heavy machinery - i look pretty pretty pretty nerdy! but it's totally necessary if i want to avoid cutting the cords or ironing them while watching bad tv shows and working all night.

dark star tea dress size medium worn over my brand new complex geometries MEGA HOSE, i got these dove grey babies on the 40% off day sale a week ago, goes great with all my see through clothes because they have a kind of body suit tube thing attached. modesty! also wearing my leather fringe necklace i made like a million years ago.

lounge wear

this is the uniform for "working" from home. vintage cream wool long johns and oversized black tank and leather slip ons. now who's wearing who's clothing? hmmmmm

enjoy one of the few great freezing temperature things to do. parc la fontaine is perfect right now.

black mold

is this irony i don't know? but i was moving some old fabric from the corner by the window and i found real black mold eeek. we talked to a health inspector (jon's mum) and she just said "it's fine and go clean it up" but how crazy is that? i've never had mold in my house before and with my spring 2011 "black mold" collection in production it's kinda spooky. the fabric is fine but i really believe i make things happen......bad things. i still find it beautiful though.

instant books are your future

after moving to montreal i was lucky to meet jon's friend matt prins who is a writer and has a really great blog called instant books are your future there is also a link to it on my "stuff i like" links if you are curious later, it makes me laugh soo much. he asked some friends to make instant books and everyone got a different letter of the alphabet, Jon and I did the letter SSSSSS or Samese. it's about falling in love, moving in together, moving away together and being "stuck" together.
we wrote it together. jon drew it and i inked and painted it.

Fluorescein! i don't usual post news here or pranks on nature by humans but i thought this was particularly beautiful and i wish i had seen it in person. this was a stretch of the goldstream river on vancouver island a few days ago.
